Description

BillyGoat Entertainment Ltd is a video game developer based in sunny Belfast, Northern Ireland. Established in 2010 ‘the Goat’ specialises in crafting jovial, lighthearted, comedic experiences for consoles and PC.

History

The Goat began life producing a variety of animated TV adverts broadcast in Ireland. In 2011, with support from friends at Northern Ireland Screen, attention shifted to video game development.

In 2016 the Goat released the satirical intergalactic adventure game ‘Her Majesty’s SPIFFING’. Tasking players with establishing a new Galactic British Empire, HMS is the satirical journey of Captain Frank Lee English on a quest to appropriate the stars for Her Majesty! Available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC, HMS was the proud recipient of TIGA’s 2017 Creativity and Heritage Award.

2019 saw the release of Supermarket Shriek, a light-hearted shopping (kart) racer, on Xbox Game Pass for Xbox One and PC. Accolades include being awarded the Official Xbox Magazine’s Editors Choice award (issue 181) and UKIE Game of the Show (Gamescom 2018). In 2020, working with publisher PQube, Supermarket Shriek was released on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

The Goat is currently developing new projects for current gen consoles.
